Tourism operators say things will look very different as Australia emerges from coronavirus and many tourism operators are relying on the reopening of state borders soon to survive.
There are 119,000 tourism businesses in Australia, according to IBISWorld. Most, if not all, were forced into hibernation when COVID-19 shutdowns came into place. IBISWorld predicts about 6 per cent of those businesses won't survive the economic fallout of the global pandemic.
