NSW Government declares a state of Natural Disaster for Central Coast region

Tuesday 11, Feb 2020

The NSW Government has now declared a state of Natural Disaster for our Central Coast region. Entire streets in Long Jetty and surrounding suburbs look like watery war zones.  Across the Coast there are approximately 38,000 people without power, and many trees are still blocking roads.

Declaring a natural disaster means that people whose homes or belongings have been damaged can receive financial support and assistance.

If you or someone you know has been affected by flood, call the Disaster Welfare Assistance Line on 1800 018 444.
