Australian Reptile Park Makes History as first business to hold NSW Business of the Year AND Major Tourist Attraction

Monday 18, Nov 2019

The Australian Reptile Park made history at the recent 2019 NSW Tourism Awards when they took home the Major Tourist Attraction award and became the first business in history to win both the Major Tourist Attraction award and the NSW Business of the Year.

The Australian Reptile Park has enjoyed great success over the past 12 months, having recently been awarded Excellence in Business and Young Employee of the Year the Central Coast Business Awards in October.

Winning Major Tourist Attraction at the State Tourism Awards is an excellent accomplishment for the hard-working staff at The Australian Reptile Park, who thrive when the guests leave with a giant smile on their face. It truly showcases just how much people enjoy coming to see what all the fuss is about.

Tim Faulkner, Director of The Australian Reptile Park says, “It’s truly amazing to be recognised for all of our hard work and efforts we put into providing the Best Family Fun Day Out! We love our animals and staff more than anything and awards like this are truly humbling.”

Faulkner continues “We provide excellence in wildlife tourism and conservation and we’ve done that for the past 60 years! Through our lifesaving snake and spider venom milking program, our conservation activities and of course, providing a fantastic family experience in nature, we’re proud to be such well-rounded organisation.”

In March 2020, the Australian Reptile Park will attend the Australian Tourism Awards in Canberra where they’ll be up against other accomplished tourism operators from around the country.
